Target audience

Through my research on the website Pearl and Dean I am able to find out who the target audience is for horror thriller films. the audience for the movie 'The Cabin in the Woods' was 61% male and 39% female. This shows that horror audiences include men and women however men may take more interest in getting a thrill and being scared out of a movie. The most popular age for horror film audience are 15 - 24, therefor when conducting the research for our opening to our film, we will ask a range of men and women who are aged 15 - 24 to find out what interests them about horror films and what they they look for in a horror film.
