The typical viewer of horror films is male and aged between 15-25.Also males as they are typically found to be looking for more 'thrill seeking' viewing and horror films offer the elements of fear, panic and the unpredictable. Women tend to appreciate more lighthearted films such as comedies and romance. However in recent studies females have begun to exceed male horror viewing figures for the first time.

The Dark Knight Rises - Analysis
The Dark Knight Rises
Since its release a month ago, Christopher Nolan’s finale to his Batman trilogy has been the center of many heated discussions among movie lovers and Batman fans. While The Dark Knight generated near unanimous praise, The Dark Knight Rises is without a doubt a more polarizing film. Some see it as a near perfect film that satisfies in every way, while others see it as good, but dampened by apparent plot holes, a rushed plot, and motivational inconsistencies. However, one of the biggest criticisms I consistently hear about has to do with the plot twist involving Miranda Tate.

Film opening scene analysis - Finding Nemo
Finding Nemo is a 2003 American computer-animated comedy-drama adventure film. The use of the title in the opening scene shows the audience that the film will be set in the ocean. In the opening scene you see the wide open ocean, the camera then pans across to a coral reef where you see two little clown fish. You can tell from how the two Clown fish look and speak to each other that they are in love. The clown fish are swimming around in a Sea anemone, you can tell that this is where they live. The two lovers swim down to a cave where there are lots of eggs. Both fish then swim up toward the anemone, the male fish then pokes his head out of their home and sees another fish swimming very fast into the coral reef, from this the viewers can tell that something bad is about to happen.
