  • At the beginning of the film there is romantic music that us as an audience can here, then we here the protagonist speaking about how she has never fallen in love, this is known as non diegetic sound. Non diegetic sound is sound that us as an audience can here but the characters can not here.

  • The main characters are introduced in the opening scene when the narrator (which is the main character) starts speaking about herself  the audience recognises that they are the main characters through the use of the dialogue/camera shots/events that they are involved in.
